FILTERSORB® SP3
FILTERSORB® SP3 is the established salt-free scale-prevention medium in the Watch Water portfolio. It uses nucleation-assisted crystallisation to encourage scale-forming hardness to form stable microscopic structures in the water rather than hard deposits on equipment surfaces.

Where FILTERSORB® SP3 fits in the treatment train.
The FILTERSORB family is applied as a media-based conditioning stage. Correct vessel sizing and contact conditions are established from hardness, alkalinity, temperature, flow and operating duty.
Watch Water UAE supports professional customers with product selection, project quantities, commercial quotations and coordination of the technical information required for final design.

Hot-water systems
Heat exchangers
Boilers
Cooling equipment
Salt-free commercial water conditioning
- 01
Condition
Hard water enters the correctly sized media bed at the specified service flow.
- 02
Nucleate
The media supports formation of stable microscopic crystal structures instead of adherent scale on equipment surfaces.
- 03
Transport
Conditioned mineral particles continue with the water and are managed by the downstream process.
- 04
Protect
Correctly applied conditioning reduces the tendency for hard scale to form on pipes and heat-transfer surfaces.

Technical answers for project teams.
These answers support early-stage selection. Final guarantees and operating limits are confirmed against the project data.
01Does FILTERSORB remove calcium from water?
The core concept is physical conditioning rather than conventional ion exchange. Dissolved minerals are generally retained while their scale-forming behaviour is modified.
02Does the process require salt regeneration?
Standard FILTERSORB media applications do not use salt regeneration or produce softener brine.
03Can it protect hot-water equipment?
Hot-water and heat-transfer duties are common applications, provided the media and vessel are correctly sized for the actual chemistry and flow.
04What information is needed for sizing?
Hardness, alkalinity, pH, temperature, flow profile, operating hours and upstream contaminants are the minimum project inputs.
